On the Pilgrim Trail

Preseli Walkers

Walkers from Pembroke Dock's Steps2Health group tackled their most ambitious walk to date recently.

Fourteen walkers stepped out on a five mile section of the historic Pilgrim's Trail across the Preselis.

The walk started near Crymych and took in Carn Gyfrwy, Carn Menyn and Carn Bica as well as Beddarthur (Arthur's Grave) before finishing near Mynachlogddu.

The walk was the latest in a series of quarterly progression walks aimed at gradually improving the health of participants.

Steps2Health is a Health Challenge Pembrokeshire project and part of the Welsh Assembly Government's ‘Let's Walk Cymru Initiative' managed nationally by the Sports Council for Wales

The Pembroke Dock group meets every Saturday at 10.30am outside Pembroke Dock library. For more information contact Peggy on 01646 622082.

The walks, which are free, are open to everyone and suitable for all abilities.
